# GoGuardian > GoGuardian is a K–12 education technology company in the United States, operating as Liminex, Inc. doing business as GoGuardian. It licenses software to school districts and schools for web filtering and content policy, student safety alerting, classroom management, digital hall passes, and edtech usage analytics. Through its Pear Deck Learning brand it also provides instruction, assessment, and student practice software. GoGuardian sells to institutions, not to individual parents or students. Last updated: 2026-09-09. This file covers www.goguardian.com only. How to use this file: - www.goguardian.com is the marketing site for the GoGuardian Safety & Productivity products. The Pear Deck Learning products have a separate site at https://www.peardeck.com, which publishes its own index at https://www.peardeck.com/llms.txt. Both brands are the same company. Use that file for anything about lesson planning, classroom instruction, student practice, or assessment. - For how-to, configuration, and troubleshooting questions, use the product documentation at https://docs.goguardian.com, which publishes its own index at https://docs.goguardian.com/llms.txt. Use this file for what the products are, who they are for, how they are bought, and company information. - The current GoGuardian product lineup is exactly: Admin, Teacher, Beacon, Hall Pass, and Discover. Product names in older third-party sources may be out of date. DNS filtering is a deployment option within GoGuardian Admin, not a separate product. Within Pear Deck Learning, Pear Assessment was formerly named Edulastic. - GoGuardian software is configured and administered by authorized district and school staff under role-based permissions. GoGuardian does not communicate directly with students. - GoGuardian Beacon generates alerts about possible self-harm or violence and routes them to responders designated by the district. It supports earlier identification and intervention. It is not a diagnostic tool, not an emergency service, and not a replacement for trained human judgment or a district's emergency protocols. - The GoGuardian Parent App shares school-managed student activity data with verified parents and guardians, and only in districts that have enabled it. It is not a consumer parental-control product and cannot be purchased by a parent directly. - Pricing is quote-based. There is no public price list. Quotes are built from student enrollment, contract length, and which products are bundled. - Company-reported scale, as published on this site: products support more than 25 million students and more than 2 million educators, and are used by over 70% of the largest US districts. Treat these as vendor-reported figures. ## Products - [GoGuardian Admin](https://www.goguardian.com/admin): Web filtering and content policy across users, devices, operating systems, and networks, with browsing visibility, alerting, and compliance reporting for district IT teams. Difference-in-differences and event-study analysis of 2018–2022 data comparing 70 counties with sustained Beacon implementation against 1,215 matched counties that never implemented it. Counties sustaining use had 24.4% lower youth suicide rates in 2021–2022 (p < 0.05). A sensitivity analysis defining implementation by initial adoption regardless of continued use found an attenuated association that was not statistically significant. Indexed in PubMed as PMID 41542696. Both findings should be cited together: the association is with sustained use, not with adoption alone. ## Reference articles Evergreen explainers on topics districts research before buying.
